Description

A Lumafix board is a circuit designed to attempt to minimise the amount of vertical banding shown on most Commodore 64 computers when connected to a modern TV (C64C and other short boards seem to be affected the most).

It doesn’t remove the problem completely since it doesn’t attempt to solve the root cause (signal crosstalk), but it goes a long way to cancel out most of the effect.

This board has the option of bypassing the normal signal route via the motherboard by wiring directly to a compatible modulator replacement.

It can also be used in isolation.

It requires the removal of the VIC chip, mounting it in the Lumafix and then inserting back in the chip socket then tuning of the potentiometers with a small flat screwdriver.

When ordering please state if you want it in isolated or bypass mode.
