This compact unit simply replaces the existing RF modulator unit in a Sinclair Spectrum 16k or 48k, either rubber key or “plus” case machines. We recommend that you remove the original carefully and put it in storage, in case you ever wish to re-install it for authenticity. The replacement unit outputs a composite video signal that is compatible with a large range of modern television sets.
They are assembled to order.
It is a ready to go unit just needing the old RF modulator desoldering and dropping this one in its place. You dont have to disassemble to existing modulator.
3 Options are available, just state which one you would like in the order:
- Inverted Emitter.
- Simple NPN transistor and resistor mod
- Single 100uF capacitor.T
The recommended route is the single capacitor route but the other options can be supplied but do your researching for the model you have before ordering.
This board is not compatible with 128k models because it does not accommodate sound.
